Get yourself down to Black Rose Studios this Saturday 16th April and join us in our quest to raise money for the victims of the Japanese Tsunami as we embark on a 24 hour drum-a-thon!! The brainchild of Andy at Black Rose, the drum-a-thon will involve local drummers keeping a beat going from 6am Saturday morning to 6am the following day! There will be a few kits set up and everyone is welcome to pop down and help raise money!

Little Heath Rehearsals will be moving to a brand new facility located in Earlsdon very soon and we are proud to be moving with them! The new state of the art building will be called Black Rose Studios and is located on Upper York Street, Earlsdon, Coventry, CV1 3GQ. All lessons from today will be held at the new premises.

The Wednesday night Funk/ Soul jam has now moved to The Escape Bar in Coventry and to celebrate this, The Phat Cats (featuring some of Modern Music's tutors) will be performing. Get yourself down on the 3rd Feb, watch the band and then try your chops in the jam afterwards!

Happy new year everyone!! To kick 2010 off with a bang we are focusing our attention onto our young up and coming musicians out there and are offering all Primary School children in Coventry the chance to have a trial half-hour first lesson with us on any instrument for FREE! All you need to do is get in contact with us and tell us your age and which school you attend. We can then set up your complimentary half-hour lesson.
We hope this will give some young people the chance to try an instrument with no pressure and get them making music!

The drumming world was saddened to hear of the passing of true legend Jim Chapin on the 4th of July. Jim contibuted so much to the drum community and this is a massive loss for the millions who have been inspired by him for so long.
Our founder Tim Bowes was lucky enough to have had a personal lesson with him and describes the encounter as 'a true life-changing experience'.
He will be sadly missed.
